Is CE marking compulsory for Fire stopping?

Hi, Thank you for your question. In brief No but to achieve CE marking we have chosen the voluntary route i.e. obtained by a voluntary process against the relevant European Assessment Document. Generally, these products start with designations beginning ‘CFS’.  

For historical reasons concerning local approvals a number are sold under the ‘CP’ designation and in many cases, these have been certified in accordance with an ETA however because of the different designation the CE Marking cannot be applied to the CP-Version
