Cast in anchor design for seismic using Profis

The Profis software allows for assessment of anchor design under seismic loads. The following warning is presented "The selected anchor layout and baseplate shape combination is not allowed with seismic design."
What is this based on and how can it be rectified?

Also, what are the implications of using Hilti anchors cast in directly to freshly poured concrete, rather than applied into holes chemically? This is for a seismic application.

Thank you for your question. In brief I am assuming you are utilising the Profis Engineering software for your design. The Seismic option with the software utilises the newly introduced EN1992-4 Annex C which has superseded the previous EOTA Technical Report TR045 Design of Metal Anchors for Use In Concrete Under Seismic Actions. Annex C however only covers 4 anchors when close edges are a factor. Thanks to our extensive testing and stringent research using the Solution For Fastening (SOFA 1.0) method it is possible to model up to 8 anchors and close edges in seismic conditions. Regarding the second part of your query, no we would not recommend trying to ‘cast in’ our post installed anchors as it would be outside of any approvals and test data.
